Bed Time Story #8: An interview with Muhammad Ali

Assalamualaikum...

Hai Incik Bloggie!

Alhamdulillah, bertemu kita kembali untuk sesi bed time story... even Iolss belum pun rasa mengantuk lagi dan masih banyak halaman buku OM yang perlu ditelaa'h dan difahami *selingan dan sila abaikan...*.

Malam ni Iollss nak share kisah interview bersama Muhammad Ali, world famous boxer tu... Iollss terbaca dekat satu website ni. Simple je tapi deep~~~~

Something to ponder before we go to sleep...

*****

The following incident took place during an interview with the world famous boxer, Muhammad Ali.

It all started with an innocent question: You have beaten some of the toughest men in the world in the ring. What scares you the most?

Ali: [Points to his wife, too much laughter]

Lonnie Ali: Come on, Muhammad, joking aside, tell them what really scares you.

Ali: Nothing.

Lonnie Ali: Nothing on this earth maybe, but... tells them Muhammad.
[There is a long pause]

Ali: Not going to heaven.
[Everyone present became silent. Sister Lonnie Ali had tears flowing down her cheeks. Others present was also shaken and silent. A few wiping their eyes. Br. Malik Mujahid broke the silence, patting Muhammad Ali on his arm.]

Malik Mujahid: "No, Insha Allah, you will enter Jannah because you have helped so many people."

Ali: [Muhammad Ali turned his face towards Br. Malik Mujahid, looking at him as though asking: Are you sure? Are you sure about yourself?]

Malik Mujahid: "The Mumin lives between hope and fear."

Where as the toughest man in the world is wondering about his place in Jannah, what do you think about yourself. Will you go to Jannah? It's a question which everyone must ask himself and herself. A better answer may help us focus on the everlasting life.

We pray to Allah for the best of both worlds. If we want Allah to give us the best, we will have to strive for it.

Tak kira siapa pun kita atas muka bumi Allah ni... 'ask ourselves, and let every decision we make be a reflection of the answer to that question.'

Menulis sekadar peringatan untuk diri sendiri...

That's all for tonight. Hope lepas ni ada masa lagi untuk acah-acah 'Bed Time Story' di sini

Untuk mereka yang ketika ini sedang kesusahan di luar sana, semoga Allah selamatkan dan sejahterakan mereka semua. Ameen.

Till we meet again Incik Bloggie! *Intan! sila sambung study please~~~~*

Before Sharing Good News

Assalamualaikum...

Hai Incik Bloggie!

Lama tak post bed time story kat sini kan... So far ada few stories nak share tapi belum berkesempatan.

But for tonight, tak ada bed time story lagi...ngee...Lemme share something that I've read.  Maybe we can have a bedtime story next time... inshaAllah... semoga diberi kesempatan lagi!  :)

*****

Before you "share" your good news, consider this:

You know that feeling when something amazing happens to you and you cant wait to share it with the world? Learn to wait. Here’s why:

1. When any good news came to the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa salam) or if a calamity had been averted, he would immediately fall in prostration (sajdatul shukr) and thank Allah for it. This is a beautiful sunnah that should be practiced all the time and not just for major occasions like graduations, new homes, etc.

2. Take a few moments to really deeply say Alhamdulilah from the depths of your heart. That will be a form of maintaining that blessing as Allah will see your sincere gratitude.

3. Some of the scholars say that one of the reasons Allah did not allow Zakariyya (alayhis salam) to speak for 3 days except for words of praise was to bestow a greater appreciation of the blessing upon him. Al Baghawi (ra) said that is because sometimes when you speak about your blessings to others immediately, you lose yourself in your excitement.

So from now on when something good happens to you, hold off on the phone call, text, email, or status. Say takbeer, go into prostration, say subhana rabbi al a’ala the way you do in your prostration in prayer, AND add a personal note of dua and thanks to Allah from the depths of your heart before you rise.

A simple reminder to myself and uolllss too. I believe,
all of us aware about this, but sometimes...'kita manusia mudah terleka...' and yeah me too...

That's all from me. Just a reflection before I go to sleep. Semoga bermanfaat!

Semoga esok still ada chance nak bangun awal yowww & May Allah ease our day. Maafkan salah silap hamba Allah ini. Selamat malam dunia penuh pancaroba.

Till we meet again Incik Bloggie!

Motivation of the day: Mistakes and Perfection

"The fear that people have might stem from the fact that they believe that they have to do it perfectly and there is no other option. That is a self-crippling thought created by none other that the person with the thought himself or herself.

Mistakes happen. Instead of viewing them as enemies, we should view them as friends. Better yet, view them as teachers. From mistakes, we learn.

Perfection shouldn't be the goal. The goal should be to give it your best. If you gave your best, despite the mistakes you might make, you have succeeded".

Dear myself, please take note!

Fighting!

Twins of Faith 2014 - World of the Unseen

Assalamualaikum...

Hai Incik Bloggie!

I've attended Twins of Faith 2014 last weekend as one of the event volunteers. The event was held at PICC Putrajaya. Agak ralat sebab just dapat datang sehari je pada hari ahad. Sebab sabtu I've to attend MBA Industrial Talk. Tapi Alhamdulillah...everything happened with reasons. Dapat 2 jenis ilmu, ilmu duniawi & juga ilmu akhirat.

I couldn't really describe the feeling when I was there. Attended the event as a volunteer, of course the experiences quite different compared as a participant.  I was assigned under auditorium team. Bertugas dekat main hall where all the Syeikh delivered their talks, tapi tak dapat nak fokus dengar talk. Papepun pengalaman pada satu hari tu memang awesome. Dapat new friends, greet the participants, smile to strangers; senyum sepanjang hari sampai mulut cramp, pipi pun makin naik dan bertambah tembab 'sarkastik!'. Bonus makanan yang disediakan pun sedap. Kenyang perut suka hati. Alhamdulillah... memang happy sangat even kepenatan jugakla kena berdiri sepanjang hari. Lagi kasihan dekat volunteers lain yang memang attended the event on both days. Sampai ada yang sakit-sakit pinggang lagi.

On that day, aku bertugas dekat pintu masuk, I've to check the participants' wristband before they enter the auditorium. When I saw families with little kids came to the event, it made me wonder, I must bring my future husband and future kids too. InshaAllah. It’s good to expose the young ones in this kind family event. Terberangan and can't stop smiling... :) Oops! *back to reality pulish!!!*

Participants focus on the talk.

Alang-alang hall kosong participants semua keluar for Zohor break.

"Thank you dik. Good job. Now go home and rest!"she smiled brightly~~~

Rasa berbunga-bunga hati lebih dari bunga di taman larangan gittew.  I can't explain the feeling... kegembiraan yang tak terkata.

Alhamdulillah. Positive feedback from the participants. Jzkk Mercy Mission for this awesome opportunity.

The best part was after the event ended. At that time, all the participants have left the hall. Yang tinggal just few speakers and volunteers dalam hall. Suddenly one sheikh ni naik atas stage & announce that one of the participants wants to revert to Islam. ALHAMDULILLAH... He 'lafaz' the syahadah clearly. That was the first time I saw a non-Muslim revert to Islam. ALLAHU AKBAR! ALLAHU AKBAR! Dia nampak seperti kain putih yang sangat suci. Perasaan dapat saudara baru tu memang tak boleh explain. Somehow I got teary-eyed and I'm not alone. I can say everyone there got teary-eyed. The brothers gave him group hug.

Overall the experience priceless mannn... priceless! There’s one saying goes like this, “When you want to do good, good people will come near you and vice versa.” ^_^

Audi Team - Sisters. We worked together for the sake of Allah.
Be with lovely and positive peoples is a blessing. Alhamdulillah.

Worked under audi team, aku still ada chance nak dengar beautiful talks from the awesome international speakers. Ada few points penting yang sempat tangkap and tersentap, makan dalam time dengar talk tu. Ya Allah...rasa rendahnya diri, sikitnya ilmu, kurangnya amal.

Dengan jasa baik beberapa orang participants yang share notes diorang time event tu dekat diorang punya social media and ada notes yang my volunteer sister share dekat our whatsapp group, I compile it here. Hope it'll be benefited for all.

Shaykh Tawfique Chowdury stated that, the signs of righteous people are of those who sees hardships, easy- and this can be done by being grateful. By feeling enough with what you have, and being 100% dependant on God.
If u notice, people who are religiously ignorant (no matter what religion) have a higher tendency to be angered, to feel depressed, sad, irritated, agitated and stressed out. In contrast, those who are firm to their beliefs usually are more at peace.

True.

When you have faith, InshaAllah everything will be easier for you. Even if it is hard, God will grant you stronger shoulders to go through these obstacles. So have faith, work hard to become a better person each day. God bless.

THE HIDDEN ENEMY

*Shaytan starts young and keeps attacking even at #death.
- A baby cries upon birth because Shaytan jabs it.
- Shaytan appears to you at death as a close or loved one to test and trick you.

*Shaytan's oath "By #Allah, I will never stop tormenting the children of Adam AS as long as their souls are writhing in their bodies"

*Shaytan does not stop, does not rest, and all the #Jinn reports to him. The Jinn that misguided a Muslim the most gets rewarded: #zina#divorce, consumption of "wine or #drugs, etc.

*Pray especially at Fajr and Ishak when the rewards are heavy. When you miss Fajr. The majority's interpretation of they had it says that Shaytan urinated in your ear (literal).

*Zina begins with a look. The look leads to some words to more words to time spent to more time spent to misguided feelings leading to breaking a covenant with Allah SWT in Zina. Do not follow the footsteps of Shaytan. He is very good at misguiding. He is very good at changing words and situations to make what is good unattractive and what is bad very attractive.

*Shaytan will first attack your Tawheed because that is the only thing that can save you from getting Hellfire. He wants more companions in the Fire.

*The pious Muslim family is the first brick in Society. Shaytan strikes there. He crowns the Jinn who are able to separate a man and his wife.

*If you are possessed by a Jinn, Allah SWT loves you. He has afflicted you with a hardship that no one can help you with except Allah SWT. He wants you to turn back to Him.

*The solution is turning to Allah SWT. Only He can protect you from Shaytan and his army. If you want to beat Shaytan:
(1) Check your intentions
(2) Fortress of the Muslim
(3) Knowledge of Islam

10 THINGS THAT BRING THE LOVE OF ALLAH

Ibn Qayyim (May Allah have mercy on him) said that there are ten things that bring about the love of Allah.
1) Recitation of the Qur'an with reflection and with an understanding of its meanings.
2) Seeking closeness to Allah by performing voluntary deeds after having performed obligatory ones, for that leads one to the highest levels of love.
3) Remembering Allah during every situation – with one’s time, heart and deeds, one’s share of that love is to the degree of one’s share in that remembrance.
4) Preferring what He loves to what you love when your desires are strong.
5) Allowing your heart to reflect on His Names and Attributes.
6) Reflecting on His many favors and blessings, both the apparent ones and hidden ones, for that leads to His love.
7) Having your heart softened as it is worshipping Allah.
8) Being alone with Him in worship when He descends during the last third of the night. And this means to invoke Him, to recite His Speech, to stand with all sincerity and with good manners and with good submission, and then to end that with repentance and with seeking His forgiveness.
9) Sitting with those who are truthful in their love of Allah.
10) Staying away from all that creates barriers between the heart and Allah.

Last but not least, as I can clearly remember one of the speakers remind us...

'With the firm intention, turn the knowledge into action...'

My mind is still flooded with the memories and talks from the speakers. Hope it'll remain in my heart and I'm able to practice all the knowledge gained through this 'Majlis Ilmu'. I'm so blessed, blessed with what Allah has given to me.

Again. Jazakallahu khairan kathira Mercy Mission for organizing this event.

InshaAllajumplagi in the next TOF dan semoga ada kesempatan lagi nak hadiri majlis ilmu lain.

That's all from me. Mohon maaf kalau ter 'over-excited'. Aku memang excited lebih bila first time neh. Salam sayang! Jangan marah, kalau marah kena jual...kalau tak marah teruskan berkasih sayang!

Till we meet again Incik Bloggie.

Wassalam...
